Breitling launched its first “Blacksteel” watch in 2012 and, for many years, the brand has been known for its aviation roots and has launched a real-time fleet. It’s almost every watch family now offers at least one model with black steel treatment, including version of Navitimer, Navitimer Cosmonaute, Colt, Avenger II, Super Avenger and Avenger Sea Wolf. I have always appreciated the appearance of the black steel model, and finally have the opportunity to wear these pieces in recent weeks. Better yet, I received the review model from a collection of Replica Watches most representative and historic, Chronomat, in its large but not oversized 44mm version.
As a background, the modern version of Breitling Chronomat debuted in 1984, which is the 100th anniversary of Breitling’s founding.
